1. About CodeMi

CodeMi: Kimi Code Remote (“CodeMi” or “the app”) is a free iPhone app made by MannyD Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”). It is a remote for Kimi Code, a coding agent that runs on your own computer. CodeMi shows the Remote Control page that Kimi Code provides, so you can check on sessions, send prompts, and approve actions from your iPhone.

All of the real work happens on your computer. Kimi Code runs the agent, reads your files, and runs commands there. CodeMi does not run code and does not store your projects. Its only server is the relay for the optional CodeMi Helper, described below, which never sees your sessions or files.

Where the link comes from. The Remote Control link is created by Kimi Code on your computer (Settings → Remote Control). You bring it to CodeMi by scanning the QR code Kimi Code shows there, or with Copy Link and paste. It connects through Kimi’s Remote Control relay to that computer, so Kimi Code must stay open and your computer must stay awake and online. You sign in with your own Kimi account on Kimi’s own sign-in page.

2. Not affiliated with Kimi or Moonshot AI

CodeMi is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Moonshot AI, the maker of Kimi and Kimi Code. “Kimi” and “Kimi Code” are trademarks of Moonshot AI and are used only to describe what CodeMi works with. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Kimi, Kimi Code, the Remote Control relay, and Kimi accounts are provided by Moonshot AI under its own terms and privacy policy. Your use of those services is governed by Moonshot AI’s terms, not by us. We do not control Kimi’s services and are not responsible for their availability, content, or how Moonshot AI handles your data.

3. Privacy Policy

We do not collect your data

CodeMi does not collect, sell, or share personal information. There are no MannyD Labs accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs in the app. Nothing you do in CodeMi is sent to MannyD Labs. The one exception is the optional CodeMi Helper relay (see CodeMi Helper below), which handles no personal information.

What is stored on your iPhone

• Your Remote Control link, kept in the iOS Keychain so the app can reconnect.
• Your Kimi sign-in (cookies set by Kimi’s sign-in page), kept by the app’s web view and backed up in the iOS Keychain so you stay signed in between launches.
• The position of the menu tab on the screen edge, kept in the app’s settings.
• Your list of computers (each computer’s name and Remote Control link) and CodeMi Helper pairing codes, kept in your iCloud Keychain so your own iPhone and iPad share them. iCloud Keychain is end-to-end encrypted by Apple; we cannot read it.

This information stays on your device. We cannot see it. Your password is typed into Kimi’s own sign-in page and is never read or stored by CodeMi.

Camera

If you tap Scan, CodeMi asks to use the camera so it can read the Remote Control QR code that Kimi Code shows on your computer. The camera is used only while the scanner is open, the image is read on your iPhone, and nothing is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. Only the link in the QR code is kept, the same as if you had pasted it. You can turn camera access off at any time in the iPhone Settings app and paste the link instead.

CodeMi Helper (optional)

If you choose to install the CodeMi Helper on a computer, CodeMi can check Kimi Code on that computer and turn Remote Control back on. The helper and the app talk through our relay at relay.mannydlabs.com, which runs on Cloudflare. For each paired computer the relay stores only whether Kimi Code is running and whether Remote Control is on, under a random identifier. The computer’s name passes through to your iPhone but is not stored. The relay never sees your Kimi sign-in, your sessions, your prompts, or your files, and keeps no logs of what you do. Removing the helper deletes what the relay stored for that computer.

Services CodeMi connects to

• Kimi / Moonshot AI. The Remote Control page, the relay to your computer, and Kimi sign-in are provided by Moonshot AI. What you send and see in a remote session travels between your iPhone, Kimi’s relay, and your computer, and is handled under Moonshot AI’s privacy policy.
• MannyD Labs relay (Cloudflare). Only if you install the CodeMi Helper, as described above. Cloudflare handles the network connection under its own privacy policy.
• Apple. Apple may collect crash reports and usage data for App Store and TestFlight apps, depending on the sharing settings on your iPhone. That data is handled under Apple’s privacy policy.
• Ko-fi. If you choose to donate, the donation page and checkout are run by Ko-fi and its payment processors (see Donations).

Removing your data

Tap Sign Out in CodeMi’s menu to delete the saved link and your Kimi sign-in from the app. To remove the CodeMi Helper and what the relay stored for a computer, open Computers in CodeMi’s menu and choose Remove Helper. Deleting the app also removes its data from your iPhone; your computer list stays in your iCloud Keychain until you remove the computers in CodeMi or delete them from Keychain. To manage your Kimi account itself, contact Moonshot AI.

Children

CodeMi is a developer tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because the app collects no data, there is nothing for us to hold.

Changes to this policy

If we change how CodeMi handles information, we will update this page and its revision date. If a change ever involves collecting data, we will say so here before it takes effect.

4. Terms of Use

License

CodeMi is free. MannyD Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CodeMi on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement and these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as the law allows.

What you need

CodeMi only works with Kimi Code installed on your own computer, a Kimi account, and Kimi’s Remote Control feature. Remote Control is a Moonshot AI service. It may require a particular Kimi membership, and Moonshot AI may change, limit, or discontinue it at any time. If that happens, CodeMi may stop working, and we cannot guarantee that it will keep working with future versions of Kimi Code.

Your responsibility

• Actions run on your computer. Prompts you send and actions you approve through CodeMi are carried out by Kimi Code on your computer, which can read and change files and run commands. You are responsible for what you ask it to do and what you approve. Review changes before approving them.
• Keep your link private. Treat your Remote Control link like a key to your computer. Don’t share it, and turn Remote Control off in Kimi Code when you don’t need it.
• Follow Kimi’s terms. Use Kimi and Kimi Code only as Moonshot AI’s terms allow.
• Use it lawfully. Don’t use CodeMi to access computers or accounts you aren’t authorized to use, or for anything illegal or harmful.

No warranty

CodeMi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app, Kimi’s services, or the connection to your computer will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MannyD Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, code, files, or profits, arising from your use of CodeMi or of Kimi’s services, including changes made by Kimi Code on your computer. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Apple

These terms are between you and MannyD Labs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for CodeMi or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. For anything else, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. You can stop using CodeMi at any time by deleting it. We may update, change, or stop offering the app at any time.

5. Donations (Buy Me a Coffee)

• Completely optional. CodeMi is free, and every feature works without donating. A coffee is a voluntary thank-you to MannyD Labs, not a purchase. It does not buy, unlock, or change anything in the app, and it does not create any obligation for us to provide support, updates, or features.
• Handled by Ko-fi. The “Buy Me a Coffee” button opens mannydlabs.com/donate, which sends you to ko-fi.com/mannydlabs. Payments are processed by Ko-fi and its payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal) under their terms and privacy policies. MannyD Labs never sees or stores your card details. We may see the name and message you choose to share with your donation.
• Not tax-deductible. MannyD Labs is not a charity or nonprofit, so donations are not charitable contributions.
• Refunds. Donations are generally final. If you donated by mistake, contact us and we will work with Ko-fi to sort it out where we can.
• Where it appears. The donation button appears only in the United States version of the App Store.
